Reflexology for the Peri to Menopause phase

Reflexology is a gentle touch therapy, working on reflexes and nerves found in your feet, face or hands, which help the systems and organs of your body to achieve balance.

Reflexologists work holistically with their clients to achieve better health and wellbeing. We help remind your body what it needs to do, in order to work as best as it can and give you the space and time within treatments for that to start. Often this means you will be able to relax, and shift some of the stresses affecting you, either physically or emotionally. This can be especially valuable when you are experiencing peri-menopause.

Perimenopause is the time leading up to menopause, when the ovaries gradually stop producing eggs. This can happen as early as in your late 30s, but most women experience it in their 40s or 50s.

Some of the effects of the changes to your hormones and menstrual cycle include shorter or longer cycles, heavier or lighter bleeds, worsening PMS, hot flushes, insomnia, joint aches and pains, changes to skin, hair & nails, and so much more! There are in fact 48 symptoms of menopause, which I won't list here - but please ask if you would like more info on them.

The net effect of all these changes, some creeping up and others arriving all at once can be devastating to your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It's a lot to deal with, and often we don't have someone to discuss these changes with.

I have the experience of being in perimenopause myself, as a woman in mid-life, my own experiences led me to train specifically in how to support you through this time. I have in-depth knowledge of what can help you, and what to avoid.

Reflexology for peri-menopause can be carried out on your feet, or you can choose to enjoy the benefits of facial reflexology - which has the added benefits of helping out your skin as well as helping you to relax. You can even learn how to do it yourself, using specific face maps to work on perimenopause symptoms, by joining me for a workshop.

Gentle Release Therapy for Fertility to Menopause

Gentle Release Therapy is a wonderful, gentle and powerful way to release the tension and stress that you may not realise you've been holding on to.

This treatment draws on the basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) combined with acupressure and energy techniques, allowing your body to release whatever it needs within a session.

Gentle Release Therapy uses an extremely light touch to release blocks and allow your energy to flow freely around the body.

After treatments clients often feel lighter in both the head and abdomen and will very often be so relaxed they go and take a nap, or be so energised they get loads of work done that they have been putting off for ages!

The advertising standards agency is very rigid in what we can say about the effects of complementary therapies, however we can say that that Gentle Release helps with relaxation, and helping relaxation helps stress. How many health problems are made worse by stress?

As a Gentle Release practitioner I ease the process of getting your body flowing back into balance, giving time and space for this to happen.

You can receive Gentle Release Therapy treatments during a virtual session at home, meaning that you can completely relax and enjoy the benefits of Gentle Release with no worries about driving home afterwards.
