Fertility

Fertility. This is my big focus for 2019. Fertility has impacted not only my life, but so many friends too.

Trying for a baby has to be one of the most stressful and heart-wrenchingly difficult things to do, especially if you’ve been told you have unexplained infertility, or if you don’t actually know why you’re not getting pregnant.

I want to give my clients the best chance to improve their fertility and enhance the chances of successful conception, using reflexology as a holistic therapy for women and their partners.

This year, I am deepening my knowledge of reflexology, training with Barbara Scott – an amazing reflexologist who has developed specific fertility protocols, in conjunction with research which shows the effectiveness of this work. My training starts next week, and I can’t wait! I’ve added a new page of resources for you about periods, conception and more here.

Reproductive Reflexology

I am pleased to announce that I am offering reproductive reflexology treatments, for couples aiming to improve their fertility naturally. This year I am working towards formal certification by the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists, and I am currently looking for case studies, so if you would like to participate in my research, then I would love to hear from you!

My own experience of ‘unexplained infertility’ led me (via a winding route) to my present career as a reflexologist (and happily, to two children conceived naturally).

In my clinic I have met an increasing number of people who are having difficulties with conceiving, or presenting with fertility problems. I aim to assist couples who are trying to conceive and achieve their goal of having their own children, whether that be naturally or by assisted conception.

It can be stressful and expensive to get help to get pregnant, with many NHS fertility clinics now restricting or not providing treatments due to funding cuts. Private treatment can be prohibitively expensive, and again, can be limited in certain areas. Complementary therapies such as reflexology can offer help and support, at a fraction of the cost, and work to support your body’s systems. Treatments work with any conventional medicine/therapy that you may be undergoing, or as stand-alone therapy.

I am happy to treat individuals and couples (however they are structured) at any stage of their fertility journey, either to enhance your general wellbeing before trying for a baby, if you are experiencing problems with conception, and if you need guidance and help throughout a pregnancy.

I look at each case individual, and treatments will vary from person to person, depending on their circumstances. If you would like to discuss fertility/conception reflexology with me, then please get in touch. I’ve just added a page of resources and links that you might like to visit – here.

Kids Reflex

For parents and carers

Learn simple reflexology techniques, and use routines specially designed for you and your baby by experienced reflexologist and author Susan Quayle (who wrote the successful children’s reflexology book ‘The Mouse’s House’ which the workshop is based on).

NEW COURSE STARTING JUNE 2018 – CLICK FOR DETAILS

You and your child are welcomed to a small, adaptable and baby led class, where you will learn life-long parenting skills to soothe, nurture and calm your baby.  The course combines positive bonding with the healing qualities of reflexology, taught to you by a qualified reflexologist with a special interest in early years development and learning.

This innovative award winning programme uses rhymes, story telling and beautiful illustrations to engage you and your child, making it easy to learn and remember the techniques presented.  The workshop is run over six informal sessions, and includes full colour course notes and a copy of The Mouse’s House. You also receive a beautiful personalised certificate of attendance at the end.

Because classes are baby led, you may find you need to feed or let your baby sleep during the sessions – don’t worry – all the instructions are covered in your handouts, and we repeat many of the moves each week so you have plenty of time to learn the routines.  I am always available for questions after a session if you are unsure of anything we covered during a class.
