Live birth rate – 70%

Are you struggling to get pregnant? Have you been told you have undiagnosed infertility (i.e. “we don’t know why you aren’t pregnant yet”)?

Reproflexology techniques are designed to help you – by teaching you how your bodies work; using specific reflexology routines to support and maintain a regular monthly cycle; by treating male partners as well (remember, their wellbeing is also critical) to help optimum sperm health; and by discussing dietary and nutritional information which is specific to your needs.

I am now taking on new clients to work with these new techniques, get in touch with me to schedule your consultation, by calling or booking an appointment online.

Reflexology and endometriosis

Reproflexology and endometriosis – some numbers for you.

Reflexology and endometriosis:
Pregnancy – 65%
Live birth rate – 55%

Success rates from a data collection study of 180 cases, published in Reflexology for Fertility.

‘It is important to be aware that these results can ONLY be attributed to using these particular reproflexology protocols and no other form of reflexology’

Barbara Scott, ‘Reflexology for Fertility, a practitioners’ guide to natural and assisted conception’ (Watkins, 2016)

Endometriosis is a condition in which uterine tissues grow outside the uterus – it can develop around all your reproductive organs, around the bowel, bladder and vagina. Up to 25% of women in the UK who are ‘sub-fertile’ are thought to have endometriosis, and approximately 5-10% of all women of reproductive age.

Symptoms: pain during sex, heavy, painful or irregular periods, bleeding between periods, chronic pelvic pain, abdominal pain, bloating, fatigue.

Reproflexology techniques are designed to help you – by learning how your bodies work, using specific routines to support a regular monthly cycle, as well as any known conditions that may affect your wellbeing; by treating male partners as well to help optimum sperm health and using other tools and advice.

The Roller-Coaster Ride!

Once again, I find myself in the situation of having to temporarily close for hands-on treatments.

Even though we know that touch and social contact with other humans are essential to both good mental and physical health, the government does not see complementary therapies as essential services.

I am hopeful that this closure will be much shorter than the last, and aim to open to clients again as soon as possible.

During this new period of lockdown, I am still offering virtual services (please take a look here for details), mostly for my fertility clients, but also to those who want to take some control over their health and wellbeing, and are happy to try hand reflexology at home.

Hand reflexology is a very effective way to work on both mental and physical issues, and is a super way to learn some relaxation and stress relief techniques to help you through these interesting times. If you’d like to try it out, I made some FREE videos for you, which you can access here.

Please know that I am thinking of you, and wish you and your families good health. I will be recommencing treatments as soon as feasibly possible, so do keep any eye on the website. To be first to know what’s happening, why not sign up to my (occasional) newsletter?

Fertility

Fertility. This is my big focus for 2019. Fertility has impacted not only my life, but so many friends too.

Trying for a baby has to be one of the most stressful and heart-wrenchingly difficult things to do, especially if you’ve been told you have unexplained infertility, or if you don’t actually know why you’re not getting pregnant.

I want to give my clients the best chance to improve their fertility and enhance the chances of successful conception, using reflexology as a holistic therapy for women and their partners.

This year, I am deepening my knowledge of reflexology, training with¬†Barbara Scott¬†– an amazing reflexologist who has developed specific fertility protocols, in conjunction with research which shows the effectiveness of this work. My training starts next week, and I can’t wait! I’ve added a new page of resources for you about periods, conception and more here.

Reproductive Reflexology

I am pleased to announce that I am offering reproductive reflexology treatments, for couples aiming to improve their fertility naturally. This year I am working towards formal certification by the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists, and I am currently looking for case studies, so if you would like to participate in my research, then I would love to hear from you!

My own experience of ‘unexplained infertility’ led me (via a winding route) to my present career as a reflexologist (and happily, to two children conceived naturally).

In my clinic I have met an increasing number of people who are having difficulties with conceiving, or presenting with fertility problems. I aim to assist couples who are trying to conceive and achieve their goal of having their own children, whether that be naturally or by assisted conception.

It can be stressful and expensive to get help to get pregnant, with many NHS fertility clinics now restricting or not providing treatments due to funding cuts. Private treatment can be prohibitively expensive, and again, can be limited in certain areas. Complementary therapies such as reflexology can offer help and support, at a fraction of the cost, and work to support your body’s systems. Treatments work with any conventional medicine/therapy that you may be undergoing, or as stand-alone therapy.

I am happy to treat individuals and couples (however they are structured) at any stage of their fertility journey, either to enhance your general wellbeing before trying for a baby, if you are experiencing problems with conception, and if you need guidance and help throughout a pregnancy.

I look at each case individual, and treatments will vary from person to person, depending on their circumstances. If you would like to discuss fertility/conception reflexology with me, then please get in touch. I’ve just added a page of resources and links that you might like to visit – here.
