What is ‘wellbeing,? The Oxford English dictionary defines wellbeing as ‘The state of being or doing well in life’adult_reflexology_image_5 goes further: ‘well-be·ing: a good or satisfactory condition of existence; a state characterized by health, happiness and prosperity.’  (This is a more inclusive definition and takes into account the element of having enough money to live.)  The World Health Organisation (WHO) includes wellbeing in their definition of health: ‘Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.’

What does this have to do with reflexology, you may ask? Reflexology treatments can be very helpful in promoting balance (or homeostasis), within your body, where all your systems are working together as they should. Doing things that are good for your wellbeing will benefit all aspects of your life; for example, less stress will equal better relationships, better sleep and improved mood.  What’s not to like about that?
